Noakhali University of Science and Technology is located on the west side of the Sonapur-Subarnachar road, eight kilometers south of Noakhali district town, covering an area of ​​one hundred and one acres and another one hundred acres is in the process of acquisition. [ Citation needed ]The university has a 5-storey administrative building, two 5-storey and 10-storey academic buildings, a separate library building and an auditorium building. Work has started on another Academiccom Lab building with an area of ​​4 lakh 32 thousand square feet which will be inaugurated in 2020 and then it will be the largest academic building among all the public universities in Bangladesh. At present the university has 3 residential halls namely Bahasa Shaheed Abdus Salam Hall, Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Malek Ukil Hall and Bibi Khadija Hall respectively. Also the work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall is nearing completion which is one of the largest student hall in all public universities in Bangladesh.

Sonapur by bus or train from Dhaka. From there by rickshaw or car to the campus.
