Freedom fighters in the war of liberation

'Muktayuddha in 1971' is an unforgettable event in the history of Bengali nation in a thousand years. The unique role and meritorious contribution of the people of Noakhali in the liberation war will be immortalized in the pages of history.

On the eve of the liberation war, on 27th March, the water administrator of Noakhali will convene a discussion meeting with all parties and dignitaries in the house. In that meeting, he spontaneously presented the speech of Bangabandhu Shakh Mujbur Rahman to Nardisher. The meeting was attended by other prominent personalities including officials of the Jalo Government Office. Not everyone in the meeting has an oath to jump into the struggle without what they have.

At 27 March Town Hall, a team was formed under the leadership of the late Rafki Ullah Commander, members of Sonobahini, Ansar, Pulshi, EPR, Awami League and Chhatra League. The group initially attacked the Pak army stationed at Feni Kargiri Mahavidyalaya. In a short time, the team defeated the Western Sonobahini and returned to Maizdi.

A control room has already been opened at Maijdi Town Hall. The local administration was called upon to help the freedom fighters. In response to the call, the water administration and the police department will fully cooperate. Preparations for the war began around the time. Arrangements have been made to train all the war-weary young students, laborers and old people with the weapons borrowed from Maijdi Police Line (now Police Training Center) Magazine. Former and retired members of Sonobahni are invited to report to the training camp under the signature of Safkiur Rahman. Nurul Haque Moiya was given a jeep by the administration to collect members from different places. One at the Primary Training Institute (PTI) in Maijdi, An arms training camp was set up at Fani's Majian Maidan and Madrasa Mall and at Fani's school. Thousands of freedom fighters will participate in all these triangular santo.

In the meantime, to prevent obstruction on the way to Paksanodar, resistance measures were set up at Laksham, Nilkamal, Char Jabbar, Shubhpur etc. The first clash took place at Baghmara in the north of Laksam on 4 April, led by Subdor Lutfar Rahman and Subdor Samshal Haque. Then, on 10 April, in the battle of Laksham, only 60 freedom fighters were killed and in the ensuing battle, 28 invaders were killed and 60 were summoned. On 20th April in Nathre Patuat, on 21st April in Sonaimuri Rally Station near Outer Signal, on 1st May in Bagadaiya 15/20 Paksno were killed in the oncoming battle led by Naike Sarijare. In that battle 2 heroic freedom fighters were martyred.

On 9 May, fighting broke out again in Bagadia under the leadership of Subdor Wali Ullah. In this battle, the hero was shot in the forehead by Subdor Wali Ulya and he was summoned. On 10 May, a battle was fought with Pak Sanodar at Rpubdaki in Bangla Bazar, on 11 May at Subdor Wali Ullah and Naik Abul Hossain, at Lakmipur under the leadership of Hablidar Matnir, at Mirganj with Khan Sanodar, some Paksno was killed and another Khan Sonora escaped. Here many of the ASAs who were killed in Khan Sanodar were captured by the freedom fighters. Besides, fighting took place again on 13 May at Nakit in Ramganj, on 14 May at Bopilashara Rale Station and on 15 May at Bagadia. On May 28, Nair Abul Hossain, Nair Subdor Ishaq and Subdor Wali Ullah, led by Subdor Lutfar Rahman, introduced unparalleled bravery in Dalal Bazar. On 26 May, the Sahebzadar bridge was destroyed by the Subdor Wali Ulya mine. The communication between Laksam and Noakhali was cut off.

Fartak, Md. Ismail, Abu Nasre and many others were martyred. At that time, the then secretary of Dakshur Samaj, Ahdir Rahman Adud Sudharam Thana and Obaidul Kadre Kompaniganj Thana became the commander of BALF. They jointly fought at Kabarihat, Chaprashri Hat, Basurhat and Talmohammadre Hatar. How many wars will be conducted under Companyganj? When Ahlur Rahman Adud, the commander of Sadar Bailiff, was martyred in the battle of Hatmo in Talmohammad, Enam Ahsan was given the responsibility of Sadar East and Fazlul Haque Badal was given the responsibility of Sadar West Bailiff.
