Activities:

The significant work of the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer is to implement all kinds of decisions of the Central Government and to coordinate the work of different departments. He was also in charge of general administration, revenue administration, criminal administration and development administration. Other responsibilities are:

  1. Supervision of law and order control and development activities.
  2. Implementation of various activities of the government.
  3. Supervision and implementation of development work of the government. Pre-
  4. preparation and taking necessary measures to deal with various natural calamities.
  5. Communication system development.
  6. Implementation of various developmental projects through Union Parishad.
  7. Adoption of shelter projects, model villages, housing projects and their implementation.
  8. Provision of helpless people in different shelters.
  9. Lending to the residents and making them self-reliant.
  10. Lending to the tribals to make them self-reliant.
